Friday Night Ohio - 2018 Week 2 preview: Dover at Lake

Dover Tornadoes (1-0) at Lake Blue Streaks (1-0)

WHEN: 7 p.m. Friday.
WHERE: Lake Blue Streak Stadium - Alumni Field, Hartville, OH/span>
LAST WEEK: Dover 54, Cleveland JFK 0; Lake 76, Columbus West 6

THE MATCHUP This is essentially the opener for both teams, who faced overmatched opponents in Week 1. ... The Tornadoes are led by QB Alec Sayre, a Missouri baseball recruit who threw three TD passes against JFK. Kyler Folkert added two rushing TDs. "They're going to be a challenge," Blue Streaks coach Dan DeGeorge said. "They're very well-coached, they're very physical up front and they're very sound defensively. It's going to be one of those games where the team that makes the least amount of mistakes has the best chance to win." ... Lake QB Paul Troyer was 6-of-7 for 121 yards with an 83-yard TD pass to speedy WR Tye Hunt. Seven different players ran for a TD against West as the Blue Streaks piled up 229 yards on the ground. "Our sophomores got to get some snaps in on Friday, so that was a positive for them," DeGeorge said. "But we'll need to have a great week of practice to get ready for Dover." ... This is the four straight year the teams have met in Week 2. Dover won last year's game, 30-28, but Lake leads the series 5-4.
